A WARM WELCOME TO Hands of Kalymnos.

We are an animal welfare society from the Greek island of Kalymnos, a haven for holidaymakers seeking to relax in the sun by the sea amid breathtaking scenery. For the more adventurous, it is home to some of the best rock climbing in Europe!

However, many animals suffer in this paradise and we want to help them and take action to prevent further suffering in the future.

Aims

• Improve the situation for strays on Kalymnos
• Educate the people of Kalymnos about the benefits of good animal welfare
• Collect and distribute funds and supplies for betterment of animal welfare on Kalymnos
• Expand our castration and sterilisation campaign in cooperation with the Greek authorities, tour companies and vets
• Help and support local animal lovers
• Link with other animal welfare organisations and animal lovers
• Establish a refuge and network of carers for strays needing rehoming
• Rehome animals locally and outside of Greece
• Ensure rehoming outside of Greece takes due consideration of international regulations and disease controls
• Have transparent public relations and open books
• Promote our aims, services and activities
